The staff at Lawn Doctor is one of the most personable, trustworthy and professional service providers I have ever had the pleasure to work with in the entire time my family has lived in Southbury, CT. This year we moved in to a new home, and Dan and John came out to the new house right away to survey the lawn and provide their recommendations on how to revive the lawn, as the previous owners had certainly neglected it. Their selection of products and services really made an immediate difference. Even though they only had about two months of warm weather left to work with, the lawn already looks 100% better than the day we moved in. Even the owner John Sr. came out to take a look to check on the progress. I very highly recommend Lawn Doctor. ~ Michael C

Brandon stopped by yesterday to apply the scheduled treatment to my lawn and I had the pleasure of speaking with him before he started as I headed to work. He is incredible; knew my lawn in detail since they try their best to match up the technician to the lawn with consistency to track progress. Brandon described what my lawn looked like two years ago, the progress he's seen over time, and explained in full what he was going to do during his visit yesterday. I can't say enough how impressed I was with his knowledge, his attention to detail, and his customer service. Sometimes giving rave reviews on how great things are isn’t helpful. I think you really see the value and true nature of a company when there has been a problem. So I had a disagreement on a billing issue that occurred concerning an unauthorized service which basically was a miscommunication. Lawn Doctor and I were able to work through the issue and come to a mutual resolution that satisfied both of us and left me a happy customer. I truly appreciated that we were able to resolve the issue and therefore I remained a customer. 1st year doing business with Lawn Dr. - Lawn has only received two applications and it looked much better after the fist application; looks even better after the second (of course). Communication could NOT be better;. We receive advanced notifications when they are to apply an application allowing you time to mow your lawn if need be. My husband and myself spoke to Shawn during the application and he was courteous and extremely knowledgeable. Can’t wait for the final results at the end of the season! Subject: Re: Lawn Doctor Naugatuck Valley I wanted to write to you today to say what a great job Stanley did on my lawn and the great experience. When he arrived I stepped out to meet him. Stanley stopped what he was doing and introduced himself and asked how I was doing today. I introduced myself and responded. He asked if I had any lawn issues or concerns, weeds or clover? I said I did and showed him. Stanley said, no problem, I will take care of those for you. We made some small talk and I left him to do his work. While he did, I watched from a window and he carefully and dutifully did his job, looked over my lawn and carefully applied the chemicals as needed. He took the time to make sure everything was done. He did not rush, he took his time and I was very happy. He truly seems to care about what and how he is doing his job. Our former lawn maintenance company transferred our account to Lawn Doctor of Greater Oxford in 2022 and we have been so impressed with their service that we wish we had transferred earlier. In 2023, we picked up Tick service as well because our property backs up to the woods and a pond and our dog loves spending time outside. The treatments have been effective and the technicians make sure to overturn the dog's outdoor water bowl before applying the treatment. Jay did a terrific job with the first application of the year on 4/9/25. ~ Mitzi R

We used a different company last year for our services and did not like they way they did business nor the way they treated our law so this year we took a chance with Lawn Doctor. They have been very efficient in letting us know when they are going to be here. On time every single time. And have texted to confirm being here based on covid and the social distancing regulations. We had another great experience with Lawn Doctor today! Our service technician, Mark D., came by to spray for ticks and bugs and went above and beyond. He made sure our dogs had a chance to go out one last time before treating the backyard, which we really appreciated. After our long-time landscaper stopped doing weed control and fertilizing, I researched local companies on line and found Lawn Doctor of Greater Oxford. They were professional and courteous when I first called to inquire about their services and cost. I found their pricing fair and hired them for the job. They showed up when they said they would and my lawn is already looking spectacular and should only improve as they continue to treat throughout the season. ~ John M

I received my Lawn Doctor application today. When I saw him arrive I went out and was greeted by their friendly tech Rick Felix. He already knew from reading my file that I have a very wet patch at the rear of the property. He took great care to do that area with the hose and not the ride around. Rick F came to our home to perform routine maintenance. What he found was a Lawn Doctor problem - their grub protection did not work. Rather than shifting the blame to me, Lawn Doctor assumed responsibility and are taking on the remediation project at no cost to me. We are early in the process so I can’t say for sure how this will play out but I am hopeful. We live on a large property in Newtown, CT and when we first moved here 5 years ago the lawn was an absolute disaster. There were major bald spots and the grubs/critters made the lawn feel crunchy and dry. We tried on our own for the first year but after calling in Lawn Doctor we could not be happier! I was very pleased with your lawn fertilizing service today. Justin took care in covering and overlapping all areas. He drove the machine slowly to assure good coverage. He used the blower to clean driveway and walks when the fertilizer application was complete. I was outside when he arrived and he walked over and introduced himself. The service provided by Danny put me at ease as I am a doggy Grandma and because of the service being provided I wanted to ensure that she would be safe. I had switched from another large national service. The reason was the communication between their office and the maintenance people was nonexistent. Whatever I asked them to do either didn’t get done Or was done wrong. I like the fact that Lawn Doctor is a small local company. They are very responsive to what I need them to do. Curtis Hicks, Lawn Doctor's tech, came to treat my property today. What a positive experience and pleasure! We introduced ourselves and I showed Curtis some pesty weeds and areas of concerns. Curtis was able to identify the weeds immediately and told me how he would be treating the areas. Would love to have Curtis be the tech that always treats my property. I had lots of crab grass and weeds since my first treatment. I called Lawn Dioctor right back and they immediately instituted another treatment Technician Rick Felix was not only helpful and informed. He assured me this would be resolved today. We've been through quite a few lawn services but Oxford Lawn Doctor is, by far, the best. They do a great job communicating and allowing you to customize what you need for your lawn. They also give you a heads up that they'll be coming the next day which is great. Billing is easy and if you have any questions, they are always very responsive. I highly recommend them! ~ Jessica Q
